    Mine too (fuel logo)

They dont light up when the ignition switch comes on, so if its in the cluster, then it should be the one that doesnt light up

I think it turns on with about 18 litres left in the tank

But you shouldnt run them that low as they tend to pick up the junk from the bottom of the tank and throw it into your filters etc

Fuel is always picked up from the bottom of the tank! Wouldn't make much sense having it at the top or somewhere around the middle would it?!

Lol. The crap people believe about cars when they don't know the truth. :D

    I think not!
    On the money.

I had my first Z32 for years and never saw the fuel light. Sometimes I'd get to the station and put 60.5 litres into my supposedly 60l tank, and crap myself at how close I came to running out.
Then I found out they do have one, but you get 10 litres after it does. 10. Ten litres. You're driving with the needle at the very bottom, eventually the fuel light comes on. The car's trying to tell you you're on dire straits, but you still have the best part of 100 kilometers left. It's crazy. I think I've seen it once now, and that day I was lost and just driving around in circles in Ferntree Gully.

The bottom line is that there's a fuel light, but the tank is near bottomless and unless you're an idiot or lost (or a lost idiot) you'll never see it.

Commonly known that the light comes on with 12 L to go.

    Oh is it?
I've never let my car get that low that its turned on haha.

I just assumed because I couldn't see it in the cluster lights haha

OMG - I obviously know that lol, you didnt read my post properly as I sort of indicated that in the post, you didnt really read it properly.

Having said that, the context of what I was trying to say wasn't there as I didnt explain this in detail now that I look back on it (thinking it would be obvious as this has been raised before many times, so I am sorry for not explaining it better in the context I was meaning and misleading you. ;)

What I was referring to (or meaning) is that when the fuel gets low it tends to slosh around more up against the sides and top of the tank which then dislodges particles like rust etc (especially after they have dried as they then tend to flake when they have dried) into the fuel from the violent sloshing action up against the side (which doesn't occur obviously when its full). ;):)

If you get a container of water and do a test with sticky sediments up against the sides and top, you can see what I mean between the difference of when its full (they dont dislodge) and when its low (they then dislodge). :D

Once again I regret you didnt get the context zedboy of what I was saying. Its fairly obvious to everyone that the pickup is at the bottom otherwise it wouldn't work at all would it - lol. :(
So I appreciate your response, It shows me that I need to be more careful in future with both the context and explanations.:)

    Regards to all

Running fuel low is not the issue some make it out to be.

    Basically an old wives tale.

The biggest worry of running fuel low is ...... running out of fuel.

yep fuel light is in the fuel circle cluster bit. Mine has also been wired into the cluster squares, as well as a low coolant light :)

You sort of indicated???? I didn't see any sarcasm in your post to show that.

Seriously don't you have anything to do with yourself other than dribble shit on here with your long-winded responses.

I don't have time to test your theories or sediments or whatever else you had to say.... Unlike yourself I have much better things to do!

    Over n out.
