    Hey all,

I'm looking to spend a couple weekends taking my time getting my interior schmick, I have found some interior vinyl kits which look ok but don't want to invest if they are just shitty knock offs.

So for anyone who has re-done there interior without paying someone else to do it can you let me know what you did, how much it cost & where you got it from?

I know i would have regretted it if I did, but i was tempted to buy this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/89-96-NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-INTERIOR-TRIM-KIT-15-PIECES-/281291386381

my interior is the original weave fabric stuff and though I enjoy the classic-esq feeling I would like something looking\feeling a bit more modern.

I did my interior myself with a red vinyl (i know, shoot me). It wasnt the greatest job in the world but it wasnt the worst either.
Dont buy a shitty $10 contact adhesive spray can to do it with, it just doesnt hold as well. What you want is a can of cabinetmakers or woodworkers contact adhesive, the stuff you spray through a gun. That stuff will hold an elephant to the roof, and will be much better for some of the tighter angles you will have to work with.
Also, with vinyl you can use a heat gun to slightly stretch any areas that may need a helping hand. Dont over heat it if its vinyl, it will melt.
Finally, i havent had experience with those ebay kits, i bought my vinyl in a material shop so i knew exactly what i was getting. It only cost $15 per linear meter. It may be worth doing that instead and just cutting it out yourself.

A very kind member offered me a leather interior trim kit once.
Should have grabbed it (so inexpensive) but when I look at all the bits I have bought and still sitting in boxes I knew it would be wasted on me.

There are many options. eg. Textured vinyl that looks like CF.

There's no stencils, you just trace the pieces that you take off, it's pretty straight forward. I did the interior panels myself in a light tan velour then retrimmed the seats using a kit from interior innovations. Have a search, they're very well recommended on here & sell kits for seats, interior panels & everything else you could want in the interior.

Be aware you really need to take your time with it to make sure there's no creases & wrinkles, it's easy to do a half arsed job.

There's a photo of mine in my garage link too

Not really a fan of white interiors myself but whatever appeals or are you talking the stitch colour? Have a search on here, not sure if Khalid (the owner) was doing better prices for forum members, check group buys & fsbb sections.

    inbox got space now

here is the link, has some pictures

    Link

Just looking to move it as I'm going with a OEM velour interior, how does 200 sound? The kit was made by Mahmood (aka Interior Innovations, who you mentioned in a previous thread) he can custom make the seats for you, hence can match the colours etc

Strip it all off so you can get the new stuff in the cracks and corners properly. I had to anyway. Get some from this place always good quality:
