Installing racing seats :?)

    They are both described as dual locking ....

    they just different release mechanisms. That type is harder to adjust to different widths.My design is pretty simple, a rectangle with the sliders for two sides and 5 X 40 steel bars for the other two sides. Tap holes in the steel bars to bolt the sliders on and weld on tabs to align to the stock mounting positions. Then bolt the seats to the sliders, the sliders to the brackets and the brackets to the floorUsing the tab and stalk requires the seat to be further towards the door to allow room for the 7/16 bolt, I wanted to keep the seat in the stock location.My seat belts are 10 years old now, so I don't mind buying new ones.

    I just bought a new stalk. It took 6 weeks..

    to get made (I think it was made in QLD), then the head bit was on the wrong way round. Waited another week and finally got it right. Only $70; cheap at half the price. Apparently they arent a standard item but a special order build.

    70 each!!! Only $98 for a whole belt...>>
