Hi thereI have just got an Illuminated rear panel, now comes to installing it. I am considering powering it from the number plate lights. What I am concerned with is that, if I source power from the rear plate lamps will I need to upgrade the fuse on this circut, or will the current one suffice? If anyone has some tips please let me know.RegardsMark

It will be fine as long as its a 12v source.

Also make sure that the EL panel or whatever u bought is 12v if not, you will need to put a resistor in the circuit.

if its a proper factory one you can use the

plug which they actually made for it. It sits near the box under the rear arial, when you take off the plastic covers you will see it.

So there is a plug there in every car =>

For the rear panel, that just sits there unless there has been a rear panel ordered?RegardsMark

No, I don't think there is a plug in every

car, I think it's an add on piggy back loom to the box mentioned. Re power source, the number plate light is fine, as it only draws around 90 mA.

my car had no illuminated panel, when i boug

ht the panel, the plug from my car that goes to the panel was already sitting tucked down the side near the jack??? Does this mean i had an illuminated panel at some stage?
