Have had a really intense 24 hours here in the hunter region with the weather, with huge flash floods cutting off nearly every road in the region. And just to add some spice to the mix, I wake up this morning to heavy snow falls in the mountains around us with the highway blocked from it to the north, and blocked by flood waters to the south. Still its kept the holiday traffic away. Have had so much luck in not really getting caught out by the storm, I was supposed to drive down to Newcastle for the day on friday but decided not to go, so fricken lucky I didnt or I would of been still stuck down there, possibly with a drowned zed The weather men were right on the money this time, most people up here were sent home from work before midday so they could hopefully get there before the flooding cut off all the roads. Hope all you other zedders caught in this system have faired ok, dont want to hear of any drowned zeds
Driving thru newcastle and surrounding suburbs the last few days was a bit gnarly- huge water puddles, landslides, telegraph poles bent out at odd angles from the wind and the icing on the cake... This: It truly has been an interesting last 2 days.
