My point is the laws that apply to mods are ill conceived, not made solely based on safety reason, some wowser made them with delegated powers (the minister/parliment delegate these law making powers to a pencil pusher in the transport department) dont forget laws are usually made by politicians who only care about supporting their mates and keeping themselves in a job hardly makes them well thought out, universal truths to live by, didnt they teach you that in the academy lloyd all 40 something year ago..

Perhaps you might like to explain your comments, given that the included link is one that was initiated by me, about me and is hardly evidence of hypocrisy on anyone's part.
I would imagine that I am more aware of the potential for non-OEM components to suffer failures, than most people on here.
That does not render my advice or opinion any less relevant(perhaps it even makes those offerings more relevant).
You have not, nor will you ever, hear me shifting blame onto the respective authority(should I find myself being "pinged")for any transgressions on my part.

Sadly, it is an unfortunate truism, that commenting from a perspective of many years of personal and professional experience, will inevitably be met with denial and ridicule by those who lack such experience(and who still don't realise that basic fact).

enough debate, Lloyd why don't you find the most knowledgeable and reputable car inspector on the planet (Sydney will do) all those who say "you talk the talk, but do you walk the walk" will pony up cash to cover his fee all you have to do is take your zed there and if he finds anything wrong with it, if there are issues that would cause the expert to deem it illegal for what ever reason you refund our cash and eat some humble pie?

Im not talking one of the pink slip monkey im talking a real pro who knows the rules and regs inside and out, upside down and backwards. Someone who can point to a feature/mod and then refer it back to a certain rule/reg that is in writing somewhere and say for reason xyz this is not compliant as per section abc part 2.4 (you get the idea)

If you are as squeeky clean as you say you are, then what would you have to fear? show us your cahones (metophorically speaking, giving myself a really bad mental imagine putting lloyd and cahones in the same sentace)

chilli the point i am trying to make with you is that if you yourself drive in a car with mods, you have knowingly put on, and happily chuckle to yourself every time it gets passed by the authorities that you haven't been "pinged" this time, just like the rest of us on this modified car forum. Then maybe just like the rest (most) of us you may not go wagging your finger all about like you where doing the hokey pokey and look down at people on the forum that vent something on the "modified car forum". It would make sense for me to do that, except i am not the one who trumpets on and always with out exeption jumps on the law enforcement fanboy bandwagon.

Why you do this with out question is beyond me, so I would put it to you that your blind obedience to the law and your unwillingness to question it intent/methods/validity/necessity shows that the force was quite effective in brainwashing their members (you were traffic branch weren't you, not exactly regarded as the sharp end of the stick, maybe why the brainwashing was so effective) or you just dont have the inteligence to understand laws are made by man, man is foulable hence the law is foulable thus in a democracy its the citizen duty/responsibility to keep an eye on government and question it at every turn to ensure we dont wake up one day and find us with a despote/dictator in power.

I don't know you, however, if you are suggesting that this concept is in some way unusual, then you must live under a rock.
Every Law in this country is open to being broken at will by any individual who feels like so doing.
It is only the fear of being caught and/or the severity of the ensuing penalty that distinguishes between those who choose to break a Law, and those who don't.
The decision is totally in the hands of the possible transgressor(as is the responsibility for the commission of the transgression).
