    First of I'm new to the 300zx crew, took some 3 of 4 years of convincing by Gibbon Tamer but I finally caved and am happy I did so.

    Secondly the guy that sold me the zed didnt tick the 'this car has an immobiliser installed' box on the transfer of vehicle paperwork so now I have to provide proof of instalment.

    Answers they require are;

    Type of Immobiliser
    Installed by
    Date installed

    I legit know non of these, all I know is my remote is shaped like a rounded arrow with a clearish black plastic and two half oval white buttons.

    Any suggestions on what I should do? or does anyone have some info that I can send back and hope they don't check up on. aka brand types and installers.

    Just to satisfy the legal nuts out there, the zed is immobilised with an ignition safety and also goes off if i open a door or move the car without deactivating it.

    Thanks for any help

    Have a look under the steering column for the actual unit

    Sounds like you have an integrated car alarm with immobiliser.

    Sometimes the alarm control module is mounted in the recess behind the stereo if you can't find it under the steering wheel.

    It may be possible to identify the alarm by the remote. You could try taking to remote to a car audio shop to see if they recognise it or post up a photo.

    Is there a siren under the bonnet? It may have some identification on it.
