Yesterday as i was reversing out of the drive way a i noticed some white smoke blow past the window but that was it and nothing more, i went for a drive to a mates house (about an hour away) and the way down there it was fine hitting boost and had plenty of grunt so it was all good, Arrived turned the car off (Turbo timer was set at 2 minutes) this morning how ever jumped in and went to drive it back home and noticed that it wasnt boosting like it does, The stock boost guage still is going but it seems that the boost is not existant as the engine doesnt kick like it usually does, Got home, Got GF to sit in the car and rev it while i stood behind and as she revved it black smoke came out, Am i looking at a Blown turbo? The car sounds like it has a little knock at high end revs, and just doesnt have that power when its ment to be hitting boost. At idle the car blows no smoke, there is oil is still fine in car (not milky) So all i can think is the turbo/turbo's are goneski. Its a 91 Twin Turbo 2 seater manual. If the turbo's are blown will the boost guage still be going like it is? Sorry if its unclear what im saying just hard for me to put it into words Let me know anyways
Also noticed a bit of oil around Drivers side turbo, Not sure if it was there before but could it just be a seals gone?
If you've lost your turbine wheel like Fate's old car did then that will cause what you say. Pull the dumps off and have a look.
