I went and test drove a new Swift today for my mum. Theyre seriously good cars!! Like, really good! The gear change was a lil clunky in this one, and the friction point was really high up on the clutch travel, but apart from that the car is fantastic! The 1.5 VVT is heaps better than the Jazz and the Mazda 2 engines and the steering is nice and responsive... its japanese made too so its a good deal better than the hyundais and daihatsus and daewoos and the rest. Plus, its got very Euro styling (A3-esque) and the build quality is great (the doors shut really well and all the switches are good quality). If i were in the market for a new little car, its what i'd get for sure! My mum disagreed - "Im too old for that car. So are you. Its a 17 year old girls car." I got TOLD
i'd be inclined to agree with you mum on that... although saying that, suzuki does have excellent build quality, especially for the asking price of the new swift, compared with alot of other economical run around cars.
