"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" jobs

    I know preventative maintenance goes a long way around here, and with good reason. I'm interested though in hearing what people think are some jobs that definitely shouldn't be attempted for whatever reason until it's necessary to do so - either because it's too expensive, or too labour intensive.

    Some that I've done I'd say would be:

    - Changing wheel studs
    - Changing turbos (unless to upgrade)

    Others that come to mind:

    - Subframe bushes
    - Wheel bearings
    - Heater core

    What do we think?

    sad news, I have to change a stud on the rear now. somehow the thing threaded as it was coming Off. couldnt get a nut back on without it doing more damage :(

    Brake light bulbs.


    ...oh and EGR ;)

    Lifters (unless engine is apart)

    Most suspension bushes
    Suspension
    All control arms
    Interior
    Shifter
    All coolers
    Engine wiring connectors - all
    Brake calipers/rotors/pads
    Radiator / cap / hoses / bottle
    Whole exhaust
    Entire stereo and wiring
    Boost pipes / throttles
    Spark plugs/ filters/ oils/ hoses / pumps
    Clutch / flywheel / shifter bushes/supports
    Bearings / forks / cylinders

    All working perfectly yet they were all removed and placed in the bin and replaced with new items. Just caus.

    That what u mean?
