Well i am in the middle of doing my 100k service, everything was going well until i found this.

    My old Idler pulleys: [IMG]

And Now, my new Idler pulleys that i CZP sent me: [IMG]

    See the difference,

    WTF???

That is not correct is it.

What makes it worse is that my car is all pulled apart right now and i can't ring them because of the time difference in Arizona.

They already forgot to send my thermostat too.

How can this stuff happen, this is the exact reason I ordered a Timing Kit, so i wouldn't have wrong parts since its in a kit not separate.

I an so angry at the moment, i feel like ripping their heads off.

Now im going to have to wait another week or so before a new one gets sent out. AAARRRGGGGHHHHH

Haha yeah my keyboard is filthy,

How can I double check a timing kit though. I got emailed the receipt with order number with everything on it is correct.

Whoever has packed the box obviously didn't double check it.

 I feel like breaking stuff now.

sorry, i meant make sure they double check contents. I would have thought these bundles would have been grouped a while ago and bagged? or do they just grab each individual item off the shef and lump in a kit/bag ?

I would of assumed the same, grouping and bagging them complete ready to go....but

It seems like they just make up the kit on the spot without really checking.

Is this out of the ordinary for CZP or is it something that happens a lot?

Any members got any personal experience horror stories for me? It might make me feel better.

Just make a few calls and buy them local if you dont want to wait a week.

I would get the thermostat from Nissan and try a bearing shop for the pulley.

    Or Repco etc.

    Nissan Part Numbers

    Lower/passenger side timing belt pulley:
    13077-45V00 NSK brand
    OR
    13077-F6200 NTN brand

    Thermostat:
    21200-42L00

Yeah I was going to say, call Nissan before COB and you'll have one by tomorrow. Repco should have the thermostat, ot get both from nissan.

Then ask CPZ for a refund on the pulley? Should get out of it ok.

Dont panic, Just push the wrong centre shaft out of the new pulley and press back into the new bearing the old shaft.

The mounting shafts dont wear out.

    Thanks for the suggestions everybody.

I think im gunna order one locally for $80 from my auto parts shop and then hopefully refund the CZP one or sell it someone else if not.

NISSAN wanted $274 for the pulley... what a joke.

Is that possible? I didn't want to break the bearing....

The guy at my local auto shop told me not to do that as well.

"Just Push"? Makes it seem so easy. lol

    I don't have a press.

I would assume smacking it with a hammer wouldn't be enough?

Conceptz runs off low prices/high volume so yeah he does make mistakes. He's pretty good at rectifying them though if you send him an email he should be able to get the correct parts to you very quickly.

yeah I've sent an email already,

Im just more annoyed at the inconvenience of the whole thing. I would of had the car back on the road today if it wasn't for this.

Oh well i've sucked it up now. At least next time i will know to check before I pull it all apart since i've got this experience.

yes it is possible. I used to change bearings in these instead of buying whole new pulleys.

If you go to the local bearing shop (I go to bearing wholesalers). You can buy the aftermarket roller complete for about $40.

Thanks so much for this post Tektrader...

I got sick of sitting around waiting and sulking the voice in my head was saying "Give it a go, ya mug"

so I decided to try a two arm harmonic balancer puller to push it out. And to push the new(old) one in.

    And..... SUCCESS

Hell yes it seemed to worked great. No damage to the bearing I can see so Im putting it all back together now.

    Awesomness mate... well done :D

The bearing I used to use was actually an Aircon compressor bearing and cost about $1 each. Its a bit of a piss around changing the nearings though so I dont really do it too often. Usually just buy an aftermarket roller assemblies for about $40 each.
