Identify my ECU?

I originally thought my ECU was stock but seems to have more/different stickers than any I've seen pics of around the tech section and was hoping someone could tell me what I have and how good/reliable it is. My educated guess is that its just been chipped but would like a little more info.

It does still have the diagnostic potentiometer/LED, stickers say "Nissan Genuine re-manufactured [ECU]" but also "produce by top secret" and "for racing purposes use only" so I'm a little unsure.

So is this any good and is tuning it any different to what most people have?

Thanks for any info you have, I will actually be a little surprised if it isn't something cheap and dodgey.

    Oh yeah

The Top Secret tune isn't bad, I had it in Sparkles and was very nice :D
If you are worried get someone local from the club to hook up and check the tune parametres to make sure you wont do any damage

The base ECU is as you say a Nissan "remanufactured" for a 08/90 to 08/92 VG30DETT Manual.

It will be a "ROM" tune with with a chip replaced with or with out socketing.

The tune can be mild to wild, for example Mines tunes are considered pretty wild, is that good, well with out nice Japanese fuel it can be a problem.

The racing use only thing is more about that it doesn't necessarily meet emissions of the stock ECU.

    Whats it worth ?

Maybe $50 to $100 more then a stock ECU, to someone who is Nistuning, its worth the same as a stock ECU unless its socketed, then again $50 more then a stock one.

I think the stickers are pretty cool though. :)

Cool, thanks, will need to stop being lazy soon and replace my O2 sensors so the tune is actually working as well.

    Wow, caution heeded.

When I get some data out of it I'll post if its anything interesting but probably just a legal thing. Also its fairly slow at the moment, not sure if new O2s will fix it or if there are other problems, much work to be done but I need safer rubber and rims big enough for stock brakes first... don't ask.

"race only" is a bit of an anti liabilty disclaimer to avoid damages claims and emissions failure come back on the supplier
