    Hi All'
having some intermittent idle problems I removed the devices cleaned and checked their condition, my question is with the air regulator it ohms ok at 74.5 ohm, looking through the air port the gate is barely open (cold) I can move it open freely with tools and it springs back, apply 12v and it closes. so how wide would the gate be open (cold) on a correctly working reg.

    Thanks Linton

    What you have is correct.....

The valve should only be slightly open (like a partial moon) and when 12v is applied it will slowly close (this should take a minute or two)

since fitting a second hand iacv some time ago, (the units looked different) maybe a coincidence.. start car from cold as per normal drive as far as I want and pull up, idle still around 1100rpm (auto) select neutral idle slowly comes down to normal then is ok for the rest of the trip, some times idle up for air sometimes not, use consult to set basic idle cant hear change, engine never lets me down I wanted to order a o2 sensor from you but need to drive to melbourne this weekend so just checking for now and wonder about the reg

LH o2 sensor is broken, weird cause it was fine 2 days ago it is hunting at idle to compensate but the iacv and reg are now working properly. I will take it to Melbourne anyway, ecu talk says it is still doin 10.5 L/PH over a 40k test drive
