I just had my car diag

and the report came back with 0016 is that error for the transmission everything else was fine

 

How did you get that code........>>

I can't find anything like it in either of the following tech articles.

Are you sure that there are only those codes!

My son has a Nissan Silvia and got the ECU error codes for that and the numbers go upto 108. It said that the code lists were the same for all nissans. So we checked the numbers on his long list with the list in the tech articles for the 300zx and the codes listed matched perfectly. I suspect that the lists in the tech section are not complete ..just list of the more common error codes. I will find the complete list as I am sure that code 16 was A/T error. The long list was impressive as it had codes for misfires on each cylinder Upto 6 cyclinders and the notes said ingnore these codes for a 4 cylinder.

some of those are not relevant to the 300zx...

I reckon you're right . but I also expect that a particular code means

the same to all cars it could apply to. i.e. a 34 always means det sensor for all those cars that have one etc. Therefore you only apply the set of codes for you car, but what is the complete list for the Zed?

btw this still doesn't shed any light on a code 16.

Auto Transmission codes start with 1, so my guess is its a '116'

AT 4th Gear / TCC Signal

those extra codes b4...:thumbsup:

 

I found them on a Nissan tech site...

I later searched and found 2 similar lists and posted the longest of the two so that others could share the data. It did say it applied to all nissans and it seems to correspond 100% to the codes that we have previously known about.
