Funny you mention it, only 1 compliance shop for the 2+2 also in Brisbane. He was really good though, got it back as it was minus a seat which he has up there still, i need to arrange the postage somehow.

Whole process, registered on road was 4 months, but enjoyed the wait, ki.da like hanging out for chrissy when your a kid LOL

Great buy, well done and love the plates! It's pretty amazing that after all this time there's still such completely original Z's in Japan. To be in that condition it'd have to be just a one or two owner car and was clearly someone's pride & joy the whole time - glad it's found a good home.
As for the price, $15k is a bargain - to turn a $3k Z into even half the car you've got there would cost $20k in parts & labour and then you'd still only have a "worn-out Z dressed-up". Given how infrequently cars like yours come up for sale, they're obviously becoming quite rare indeed, well done!

Thanks mate. I think it was one owner going by the paperwork, and I always think it's awesome when someone keeps a car that long. It must have been sad to part with.

Nice looking machine. $15k for a complete stocker with bugger all genuine kms is a good buy. Treat it well and in years to come it will still be around the similar dollar value for the watchers of premium zeds. Be sure to keep it out of that shitty Territory weather otherwise all those nice supple rubbers will dry out and start to look shabby.

Also, have you any plans for making that bluetooth stereo adapter? Ive got an audiophile grade albeit older model pioneer h/u that doesnt read mp3. Dont wish to change it as its a good unit, but would like to play more then 15 songs haha. Could you please upload a diy thread.

So have you any major thoughts about mods, or just going to ride the oem wave for now?

Cheers :) I'll be keeping it oem. Does your hu have line inputs? Or cd changer input?

Yeah it's got the usual pioneer data plug. For stackers or Internet radio or whatever it is.

I did buy an ebay spec iPhone adapter, but its shit. You still need to manual change songs etc.

The basic zed hu doesn't control a changer just receives audio from it, so with my adapter you have to change songs on the phone. I think it would be the same as your cable but wireless. You need an interface between pioneer ip bus and iPhone. I used to have one in a Volvo, the head unit buttons changed the songs, that was made by USA spec but they only make interfaces for factory units I think.

Beautiful example you have there. Not that it matters, but she'll be worth more in stock form in years to come :)

I'm confused, I thought you could only import '96-7s? Or at least thats what I was told when I imported (not that I wanted to import anything older)
How'd you manage to get away with a 89!

    Anyway she looks gorgeous. :)

What a great story! A long time dream car turned into a reality, not settling for anything less than what he wanted. The price is irrelevant if that's the car he wanted, and it sounds like he'll be the owner for a long time to come.

Nice pickup CZ32 - I do like a stocker, and I do like the fact that it's an early one. It should be interesting to see if there are any production differences between yours and later Zeds. Early versions of cars quite often have minor changes where the parts suppliers find a cheaper or better way to build things, or last minute design changes didn't quite make it into initial produciton.

Somehow I feel that you're already sitting on eBay looking for all of the original Zed manuals, promo bits and pieces, owners book etc :zlove:

Oh, and if you ever end up driving it down south to Adelaide - we have some perfect "Zed Roads" down here! Welcome to the addiction!!

Good guess lol yes I have heaps of PDF's, photos and videos and definitely keeping my eye out for original stuff :zlove:

I have driven in SA while I was waiting for the zed to arrive, which was frustrating as there were some fantastic roads! We shall see, I'm pretty sure I'll be moving out of here soon anyway, I've had about enough
