Over the weekend I sold an old skyline gearbox on EBay. I had it and a 260z engine sitting outside my garage (bits I'm getting rid of after selling my 260z)when the buyer turned up to collect the gearbox. Really happy with the gearbox, he says," I'm going to use this to do up a gearbox for a 260z I'm restoring from a wreck." So I ask, "Where did you get it from?" Answer then leads me to ask what colour it was and did it have an engine. It was red and no, it didn't have an engine. "Well, " I said," That engine you are standing beside is the engine out of the car you are restoring!" Of course, he made me an offer for the engine too - and yes, it really was the engine from the car he'd bought. How's that for luck?
