How to install central locking ?

    Hi Guys
    I just brought a car alarm with central locking. I am not to sure what other ithems i need. Do 1990 Z's have actuators?
    or do i have to buy some?

    Sorry don't know off hand, BUT check the tech section, all the wiring diagrams should be there.

    Wire colours....

    Blue & Green.
    Blue to Lock, Green to Unlock (off memory, but i've killed a lot of brain cells since i've done mine :rolleyes: :D

    HUH when I did my alarm instal I took the little solinoid out of my NA which connects to one of the tabs on the stock central locking. I thought you need a solinoid to activate it electrictly.

    So you can tap into stock central locking with out the use of a aftermarket solinoid ?

    No, this is for the

    passenger side. You'll still need a "master" actuator. The stock master actuator on a Zed is not electronically controlled. It is physically locked or unlocked by you turning the key or switching the lever on the door. For a remote central lock, you need an electronic master actuator for the main door. but you can tap into the passenger door via the stock pass side actuator.

    so do i need a "master" actuator ?

    I have 2 actuator left over from my RX3, but i used the master one on it. So as it is now with the key, what tells the pass side to unlock/lock when you use the key on the driver's door?
