remove the handbrake leather handle? I wanna get it sent off to get recondition. I have seen some posts about it, but nothing really solid.
The actual handle yeah, not the leather boot? The handle is just jammed on there, might need to edge something under it to help it off otherwise just a lot of elbow grease required. If you have a replacement it may be easier to cut it off... I fitted one of Khalid's (interior innovations) black leather with red stitch replacements & was very happy with it. Would recommend.
I have seen some talk of a chrome ring that needs to come off, I have been trying to get it off but I cant seem to get it off. I tried pulling and twisting with no luck. I would get one from interior innovations, but i am getting the boot and other wheel done by planetsoarer in SA, I want them all to be the same color etc.
Hmmm, can't remember having to remove anything to get mine off, just a lot of pulling / levering. Was a while back though. Understand wanting it all matching, I'm that way too. Let me know how wheel comes up, it's on my to do list.
And so i ended up cutting it off. There was no way it was going to slide of without taking hours and hours. If anyone is reading this in the future. That chrome ring, it has tabs that hold it in place. It wont come out without finding the tab and pushing it in.
