when i first got my z...6mths ago, the clutch kicked in right at the top of the throw of the pedal...now its about half way in...is there a simple way to adjuct it?
If the clamping postition of the clutch has changed all by itself within 6 months, then you have a problem. I'd say either with the clutch wearing out or the slave cylinder seal wearing out.
clutch My slave cylinder gave up in busy traffic situation.Very embarrassing! I topped up the reservoir and adjusted the pedal height with pleirs and 14mm spanner!That was not fun day.:unsure:
if your pedal is getting lower then theres something wrong with your hydraulics, clutches get higher with use, (start on the floor and work their way up)
Not an easy job if you have a BOOF Head I tried to get to mine to check it out and could not get my big melon in a position that would allow me to view the locknut and spin the shaft.I could see that mine still had a dob of yellow paint in tact on the locknut so assumed it was still at factory setting .Will await a jockey sized mechanic lol.
Re: Not an easy job if you have a BOOF Head one thing the tech article doesnt mention is you have to take the lower half of the drivers side dash trim off (the tweed bit) and the air con duct out from behind it its a 2 second job but atleast you can see what your doing then wind your seat alll the way back too if you have a quick release steering wheel, now is the time to use it.. scotties was much easier than mine for that reason <edit: we are getting side tracked though.. if your pedal is getting lower not higher.. it doesnt need adjusting, its needs surgeory as there is something wrong other than wear.. guessing hydraulics, could also be pivots or fork but most likely hydraulic> wear makes the friction point get higher
