Have almost finished installing my HKS SQV4 BOV kit I bought from Concept Z performance a week ago, all bar the small vacuum lines that come out of each BOV.

My understanding is that these will go to the manifold after the throttle bodies, so that when the throttle bodies are closed there will be vacuum and this will cause the BOVs to open.

Firstly, because I've pulled everything out and have been in the process of putting everything back together, I've forgotten where the original factory recirc valves get their vacuum source from. (I'd like to use the same source for my HKS BOVs.) Where do the factory recirc valves get their vacuum from?

Secondly, my HKS SQV4 BOV kit came with some clear bits of plastic, a couple of T pieces and a couple of other clear bits that look like they may be restrictors or something? which I'm assuming belong in the vac lines between the BOVs and the manifold?

Here's a picture of the kit I've got if anyone is able to work out what these 2 bits of clear plastic thingies are used for.

Plugged in anywhere after the throttle bodies will see the BOV opening and closing when it's supposed to. And if anything now might be a good time to plug it in somewhere else where you feel it may look neater...? Personally I can't recall where they are connected to in a Factory setup. Happy to take a picture of mine when I get home tomorrow if you'd like.

You're close with its operation. It works by pressurizing that 'BOV line', when you take your foot off the accelerator, the positive pressure (see also, boost) in the BOV line drops, and is no longer equal to the pressure in the Intake before the Throttle body.

The air in the Intake before the TBs will start to look for a release... then find it by pushing back the piston in the BOV aided by the fact there is now a vacuum in the BOV line, and eventually come gushing out to the atmosphere, insert 'WA-TISHH' noise here, (or recirculate back into the Intake between Turbo & MAF if you have Recirc type BOVs).

Once enough air (pressure) has left the system (or you mash the accelerator again for the next gear), the BOV's spring will push the piston back down again, shutting it, ready for the next cycle.

As for the plastic bits... that picture is WAAAY too f'in small mate. Got another?
