hi do u guys realize that the zed is very stable comparing 2 other cars during high speed conering ?? i think that;s the reason of the large V6 engine ........ comparing to silvias i feel zeds r 'very heavy' on racing :-Z :-Z :-Z

    ZXxx Getting Stiggy wid it!

I would actually owe that to

the fact that it is so much lower than most cars and the shorter wheel base.I had a big kitted VX commodore previously and I would whip that thing around the corner. It would lean and get a bit shaky, but the Z is like a rock. It glides around and you can actually power into the corner. It's great fun!

Perhaps that's why it's called a Sports car!

It has very little to do with the V6 engine, and a whole lot to do with the sophisticated, 4 wheel independant suspension. Cheers

    I agree

Yeah, that's why it is called a sports car...
The zed is also designed with a low center of gravity, which explains the car's ability to take tighter corners without doing flips. Add that with the good suspension (explained by Lloyd) and nice fat tyres, you got yourself a fantastic conering machine... Gotta love the Zed for that. :-Z

    You should try it with....

tougher sway bars, lowered and completely new suspension. Corners like mad.

I have never understood why any of >>

you guys talk about the Zed and Commodores or Falcons in the same breath - they are completely different cars, designed for completely different purposes. If someone spends megabucks and gets his 'commonwhore' to beat a Zed in a straight line, so what? It must be a dead end street. Why wouldn't you start with a decent car, and then improve it if you have extra cash? Just my two cents worth.

    Track width

is very wide on the zed. i think it is 60mm wider than a GTR so that is pretty fat and they are a low car with it so handling i in its favour
