I'm just wondering if there would any trouble fitting a power steering hose if I bought one from the USA. No issues with LHD vs RHD for instance? I doubt there would be a difference but I need this confirmed. Thanks in advance, Dave
I would think that the gearbox bit of the rack would be on the other side of the car. Not sure if there is a hard pipe from the gearbox bit to near the pump with the highpressure hose just to make up the last bit Any hydraulics shop could probably make you one pretty cheap (somewhere independant or proper industry, not Enzed they are too expensive)
Thanks for the quick reply Chrispy. The car is a daily driver and the hours I've been doing lately have been very long. Looks like I'll have to source an OEM one locally. Cheers, Dave
Chrispy is correct. The USA hose wont work with RHD due to the metal pipe and the end being bent differently to go the the other side of the steering rack. Mine was about $200 from Nissan locally which works out about the same as getting it from the US anyway.
I've been told Enzed can do it, has anyone ever used them and seen if they're worth it? from what I can tell, it takes a while to do this job, would sorta like a rough idea of the cost
I got mine replaced at enzed, it was a friday afternoon and they 'guy wanted to go home'. anyway, he did a pretty good job. Hasnt leaked in the last year. cost me about $80 from memory. Takes probably 1 hour max. I got the rubber bit of the hose below replaced: you cannot use as LHD hose, but you can wait at least two weeks and get one from your local nissan or TTZed @ $264.16 + P&H I know which one I would prefer
