Are you sure you have HID lights?.... ....they were not stock until very late in the series. If you have after market HID's then it shouldnt be very expensive as most of the original light should be there. If you have to you could probably get a pair of lights working for less than $500
coz the zed lights r so dim ,.,... oh Mark told me that it will be 3000 to fit a hid and its for 98+ model only ....... oh ........ so disappointing ......... i saw cars like skyline and audis got beautiful headlights .....
Hi Andrew.... yes I'm assuming you got my email. Seriously, if the dim light is your concern the best thing to do is clean the inside of your headlights (see the tech section) and put some good quality high wattage globes in. If its just purely for looks you can have the inside of your headlights chromed like what Blipman has done. Ben, have you got a pic handy??Cheers
So you don't want to replace HID lights> with stock. You want to replace stock lights with HID ones. It's so much clearer when you say what you REALLY mean.
Yeah Nt, you can get HID conversion kits They cost anything from $500 to $1000.I must state that they are illegal and you can get defected for them. As long as you aim them down alittle you should not have much problems with blinding people. Dont go for silly colours like 7000K or 8000K. I would recommend 45000K and up to 6000K.To make them legal you will have to 1. retrofit headlight lense water squirters.2. You will need to modify the headlight beam cutoff so that it does not blind people.Hope thats what you needed=) Michael.H
To clean the outside glass plate on the headlight. All HID headlights have them fitted. On a Honda S2000, its those black bumper looking things that sit just under the headlight. They need to spray water to clean the lense if mud is to get on them.
In Europe the Z has these washer things as > standard. I wouldnt think they would be mandatory.Mr TT has HID on his car without cleaners. :-Z
The headlight washers......>> From what I've been able to find out from reading different sites appear to have been fitted to cars sold in countries that have snow in winter or for a large part of the year. Canadian Zeds got them and so did the European ones, but US and Japanese cars appear not to have them.
And the HID need to be auto leveling too Most of the things that i have stated are "apparently" requirements. But if you are sensible with picking a bulb colour that is not silly like blue or purple and you stick with white/yellow or white/light blue, then you should be fine.
