I have deleted my HICAS years ago and have just ignored the light. I now want to hide my P/S res and wish to keep the warning for low fluid level (as it will be a bit more involved to check the fluid level) so i dont want to simply pull the globe. Any one know how to cancel the hicas side of the warning but still retain the warning for low fluid? All techsperts advice welcome.

does this mean no one has worked it out?

Of course not, it just means its not very interesting.

You just need to cut the warning light wire from the HICAS ECU, green wire with white stripe.

if its manual it could be the speed sensor if your speedo is cutting in and out ?

    What?

Pretty simple, he's removed hicas, now he wants to disconnect the HICAS fault signal...whats a speed sensor got to do with it?

I wouldn't go cutting wires just yet.
Unfortunately I also researched the possibility of retaining the Low PS fluid level indication which was specific to TT's only after my HICAS delete but there were no solutions avilable that I could find.

This would be the next best option IMO to removing the HICAS warning light.
Remove the small connector from the HICAS ECU which sits right beside the main ECU.

My car was originally an auto. Andy is on the money, HICAS is gone but i want to retain the P/S low level warning feature. No speedo issues etc. I will disconnect the hicas computer first before i cut any wires but its only 1 wire. If there are any adverse effects i can always rejoin it.

Seems like everyone is spot on in their recommendations.

Find the HICAS OIL LEVEL SWITCH on the bottom left.
Looking at the wiring diagram, the low fluid switch runs inline with the earth from the body ground on one side (earth connection e13) thru the black wire. Power comes thru the ignition switch GREEN wire (10 amp fused) which goes to the DASH light, where the output to the switch is the ORANGE wire. This orange wire joins with the HICAS computer at the small connector (also orange wire).

So by earthing out either the fluid level switch, OR the pin at the HICAS computer, your dash light will go ON.

One option is to remove the plug from the hicas computer as mentioned, and the circuit will still work, but outpot from the computer will have no effect on the dash light. This should not pose a problem if the HICAS is already disabled.
Another option is to cut the orange wire completely, and no dramas will happen if it doesn't earth out somewhere (insulate the cut wire).

I just love how they call it "engine room" on these wiring diagrams. It's not a fking aircraft carrier...no wonder people refer to these cars as boats. :(
