    Hi guys,

Purchased a whitleline lock bar kit (KSR204) for my 91 TT 2+2. Now my understanding is that 1 part number fits all 300zx's when it comes to lock bars. This bar isnt even close to fitting, it is to short.

The mounting points on the car are 38cm apart. Mounting points on the lock bar are 30cm apart. You hold the lock bar up to the Hicas rack and its obvious it wont fit.

I have spoken to whiteline and they assure me it is the correct bar (they only make one) and that they have a rear end from a 300zx that measures 30cm between the mounting points/bolt holes. Which they used to develope the product. I have no doubt whiteline is correct, they are a trusted company which is why I went with their kit.

Does my car have a different subframe? It all looks like the original Hicas set up and cradle but I could be wrong. The car has had engine modification etc before I purchased it.

Can someone who was a lock bar sitting around measure its overall length and the length between the mounting bolts for me please?
I want to confirm that the lock bar I have is definetly correct...meaning the rear end of the car is different

Just a guess here, but I have a feeling that Whiteline have incorrectly included the Z32 as a suitable car for the KSR204.

On Whiteline's site here they list it usable on S13, Z32 and R32, but on other sites like here and here the Z32 is not listed.

    Thanks for your help guys.
It sure does look different, the whiteline bar is a much simpler design.
http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/install_guides/Z273.pdf That shows you what it looks like. Looks like they are fitting it to a S13

Im starting to think Kane is on the money. Has anyone else here purchased a whiteline lock out kit for their Z?

How did you go sorting this out as I am looking for a lockout bar myself and seen the exact same thing on ebay and like you said being whiteline I figured they they are a well known brand so they should be on the money with their fitment guide.

hate to say it but this wouldn't be the first time Whiteline have got it wrong. They make/used to make a rear swaybar upgrade kit for an FTO and the brackets that come with it are completely wrong on one side. They're not the only company that got this wrong though.

Simple problem. Not enough attention to detail in their R&D.
