i got a 87 commonhore (vl) exec as a daily driver atmo, which is in resonable condition, cost me bout $500 to buy a few months back. recently its developed a bit of a problem, something to do with the transmition i assume, as in the morning when i fire it up, it will struggle up hills if at all, even after its warmed up. it seems to have no problems on the open road but the steep uphill driveway is a problem. the engine is reving fine, but its just not transfering the power to the wheels on steep inclinations. any thoughts on the problem? any help would be appreciated. ta
Manual or auto?.....>> If it is a manual then it sounds like the clutch is slipping. If it is an auto, when was the last time you checked the fluid? or had it serviced?
as much as im not a fan of auto's it is one, the fluid levels r fine, but ive only had it for bout 2-3 months and so i havnt serviced it yet. hoping the transmission doesnt need replacing cause that would most likly cost more than the purchase price of the car, as well as i would rather spend my money on the Z :zlove:
