hrmm i dont know if theres a tech article...but u might have some troubles without pictures, but have a goo....

at the rear of the headlight there should be the cover that u can unscrew...so its a black covery that u unscrew about half a turn...once that is loose theres the black rubber protecting water from going in...pull that back and u will reveal a gold pin holding the glove in place...ur going to have to fiddle around with it and check to see where its actualli pinned down...free it and once that is free ull be able to remove the globe...reverse those actions when u replace the globe...its a bitch to get at so have patients :)

p.s take the globe to autobarn or equvilant shop and show then the globe and tell them u need the equvilant...

    Ok don't panic!

You should get about 90-100W globes, not sure exactly which one you need but any store which sells them should be able to help you!, try any Motoquipe store if you don't know where to go in Perth....

And since Chad_ was nice enough to post up how to take them off, you should hopefully get it done soon

P.S. i believe the globes are H3C globes, hope this helps....

    Hopefully see ya tomorrow night!

    Good luck :)

    DONT PUT 100W GLOBES IN

they can melt the plastic inside the HL, TRUST ME.
    if B
ighter light is what yor chasing then change the color spectrum to one of the xenon WHITE/blue
the reccomended wattage is 55=60 due to the fact they burn average of 20degrees c cooler

Don't forget to top up the halogen light fluid when you replace the globes.

i know because i learned the HARD way......$$$

seemed like a good idea at the time, and was a rather annoying introduction to the concept that lights give off heat.............

Strange, I have used 100W globes for four years without a problem.

I have now replaced them with an HID Conversion Kit. Best mod I have spent money on IMHO.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have a set of Raybrig globes you can have for $50

They are higher output for more light too. Can fit them on the cruise if you want 'em?

    Never had that problem......>>

I've used 100watt globes in my zed for 6 years now and never had a problem. You ar the first person to post of having that problem on this forum that I am aware of, and lots of members have successfully used the tech articles to upgrade their lights. Excess dirt on the lense causes an excess of light to be reflected which increases heat, but cleaning the headlights should be a job on every Zed owners "to do" list.
