Hey what type of wheel have you all got for your Rides

Went to Bob Jane Tmart this Morning.

and was looking through some mag's and there was two that caught my eyes.
one of them was the Amg Blitz witch would set me back $1500 with dunlop tyres. the other are a set of Enkei wheels that looks like the type of wheels that they use for drifting. those in the dunlop tyres would set me back $3000

The sale asst there said that them Enkei wheels are light and made for racing.
as much as i like them wheels im not going to race my car and it would be pointless on spending and extra $1500 just for the same size wheels witch are in both in 18s by the way. and they almost look just as good as each other

and beside your not going to notice that much between the two on the road.
so what wheels have you all got if you got any pictures please feel free too post them.

The thing is if i had money I wouldnt even think about price ild just buy the wheels. but there still heaps of stuff i want to do E.g bodykit, bigger turbos, dump pipes, aftermarket ecu, and the list just go's on and on top of that i want my own house so i can work on my car with out any problem.

Its hard having dreams when you know you cant live them
but then again im still young so i shouldnt let it get to me.

but they are nice wheels there mate they would look on the zx
cant wait to get mine. next week hopefuly.

Nothing Wrong with stockies

If some one was going to keep there stock wheels why not get them powder coated a diffrent colour or even better get them cromed. thats diffrent

im gonna get my stockies powedercoated just before i sell them but the thing is i can get them done at work but only in two colour silver and black.

but i just dont know how to prep them should i just sand blast them or sand them back ?

 

Sorry to get a bit offtopic, rite now stockies for me aswell, but soon i want to buy new wheels, 18x8.5Fron 18x9.5Back, (maybe a set or Stern ST-2 Gloss Black) how often would i need to change the front tires since i drive my Z daily ?

Depend on the tyre you have and if you plan on getting your car side ways offern.
and it would also depend on what speed you do and what they rated at. my previous car i had retreads that was rated at 110km i forgot all about that right.

went up mt barker way travleing up to 110km the speedlimt by the way and then before i knew it bang i though it was the engine that blew up but it was just the front right tyre that exploded.

but you just have to ask the the ppl that sell you them.

 

I was thinking about getting another set so i could polish them up...

As for prep umm i guess sand them back would be the best...

They do look good polished RZM has a set on his red zed looks nice as wonder what they would look like on a pearl white tho...

Yeah well i am very picky with my rims... So i got stockies with mine and yeah happy with them keeps the car on the road hehe I like the sleeper look

 

Stockies Make the zx more of an zx

I think after taking the stockies off it would seem less off a 300zx thats my opion.

but im after that japanese aftermartet look with the power to go with it.
stock 300zx are head turners just as they are but my car needs a new spoiler and paint. the guy's who sold it to me sorta restored it when they got it over from japan. but i think the paint job was a qick spray job with not much coats and now i have alot of chip on the paint.

and on top of that some couple that was in a ford heap rub up againts me.
so i have to get the mirror fixed cause it bouces around when im driveing it and i also have fix up the small amount of paint that missing in that area.

 

Yeah heheh i can understand that... I really dont know what rims i would put on my zed... I would like to go bigger so i can use Caz's big brake upgrade But at the end of the day i dont drive it as often as i use too... Maybe 2 times a week even if its upto the shops and back home LOL

But yeah well i would like to get another 2+2 hatch and get my car repainted again... but meh for now it is fine hehe just sits there under the car cover...

Ahhh one day hehe but i want a big V8 hehe i like fuel guzzlers

Well I all ways save it for the weekend and somtime driveing it on the weekdays i got a car cover my self but just sick of removing and putting it back on again.

well one things for sure cant wait to drive my z again it hasn't been a week yet and i miss driveing it already. it can be tough on us zeders at time

 

hehe yeah i can so understand that... I drive new car's all day long... So i love to go home and just sit there in the zed heheh but half the time there is always 2 cars parked infront but thats a good thing hehe

Ahh wells maybe one day i will put bigger rims on when i sort everything else out... hehe

Ray's Engineering Volk Racing 17" Gr-C's on the rear - front is slightly different in order to fit over calipers, I guess... that's the way it came from Japan! LOVE the Volk's, but would like to have all the same rims in the future at 18"! :zlove:

Ill be Getting my Stock wheel's Powercoated black so
It will be done in about two weeks time or so.

Ill do my best to bring them up as if they were just out of the factory in japan. once they are done ill post some pictures up in the for sale area for everyone to look at.

Ill be asking around the $500 mark depend on how they come out.
The tyres that are already on there will be sold with them as well as being balanced so you can fit them straight on.
