That's what I was thinking, doesn't look right to me tho.... Either way it shouldn't stop the car from firing...... I think....
the black box with the red cross thing on top would be an alarm of some sort and looks like a detonation sensor bypass looks like you need to do a 101 on the electrics sounds like a short somwhere not easy to track down good luck with it keep posting any other stuff you find or dont find and your sure to get the answer to the problem cheers wayne
