Hi , I am trying to fit a dogbone ( gktech brand ) to run 324MM rotor . Could any one please tell me the dogbone is too short for the caliper ? or did I fit it wrong way ? I appreciate your help .
you got it on backwards. bolts go in from the rear of the hub into the adaptor. That is the worst photo ever. Took 5 mins to figure out what I was looking at.
Graham , did you mean should fit the dogbone like this : I did try it , but I could not slide the caliper on in between the dogbone and the rotor , another pic from CAZ020 dogbone
The caz one is fitted correctly. The other is not. Dude. Dont waste your time with any of these. The ONLY one that fits properly is the UAS one. ALL the others allow too much pad to overhang the rotor. I refused to fit the caz one for that reason on quite a few cars back when I had the workshop. BTW my earlier comment was wrong. Those adaptors are not right
Thanks Graham for confirm , I will order one from UAS . Do you know the COZ one from the state will work ? As it is haft the price of UAS one .
Coz fits ok , but I think depends on what pad you buy for the right fit . I used the washer in between hub and adapter otherwise it binds the caliper on the rotor . Im usung GTR 324mm rotor . The pad overhangs slightly but the caliper is in the right spot . This is the issue when the caliper is designed for a certain diameter rotor . When used on larger rotor the caliper will sit further out to clear the edge of the rotor . Which inturn gives you less pad contact . They still work and work well considering .
I already have toyota landcruiser 80 series pad. It is straight fit and perfect to use with 324mm rotor and dogbone , no over hang issue . I order one set from Coz , how many washer did you use in between dogbone and knuckle ? Thanks
I used the washer that is on the original caliper bolt . Just the right thickness . This may even be your issue ?? It does suck that something like this has to be used
