  1. Hey peoples,

2 days ago I fuelled up at Falco Servo straight home to Springwood.
Yesterday I go outside, all good, then about 5hours later I smelt fuel went outside and there she was, freakn fuel gushing out from the fuel door.

I opened it, just kept pouring out - everything running thru my head, like my paint job getn ruined, wots gona happen if this doest stop, WHEN will she stop, wtf do i do?? Turned key on, after about 30seconds it ceased, seemed to like suck itself back where it friggin belongs in the tank!

Took her for a quick spin up the road, fine then after about 2hours of sitting at home i kept going out to check, and yep there she goes again, pisn everywhere. Car was parked on a slight lean towards that side so i moved it and leaking stopped. So far today its fine.

Um, when i brought this car 2 yrs ago (1992 Z32 non turbo) this has only happened to me once last year. I got home from city, 40deg heat fuelled up stopped at Video Ezy lukn for movies & the guy that works there runs over "hey your cars leaking fuel everywhere" which obviously freaked me out. Thankfully he poured a few buckets of water round it but i thought i beta just be a good customer a leave (under the circumstances) b4 i blow up the carpark. When i got home, it continued to dribble out for about 30mins, then stopped altogether??
I never found out wot the prob was but i gotta say every now and then the cabin wreaks of the fumes, i was told when ibrought the car, oh yea that's often just a zed thing - and i guess stupidly i trusted that:confused:

It doesnt seem to be leaking from any place else except where u fill i - and yea then there's the added (dis)advantage of getn high off the fumes in the cabin. Its not continuous but sometimes when u start i (specially when refuelled it lasts a while).

Can someone give a girl some advice :bow2:(umm, no big technical terms coz ul lose me).

Oh, and b4 anyone asks..... no i dont overfill.

    Cheers,
    G :zlove:

Sounds like your filler neck isnt sealed properly. So whenever you fill the tank once it pressurises and driving around, turning corners etc the fuel is forced out. There's an article in the tech section about it. Easy to do, takes 20 mins tops.

Until then, KEEP IT AROUND HALF A TANK!! :p

couldn't remember it before when i was going to reply

there are plenty of cars being wrecked so i would look into getting a replacement one!!
and def don't start the car when you have a big fuel leak
