Hey guys, My zed has just started making some weird noised while i'm driving it. It seems to only happen when i am crusing in 4th with overdrive, car starts to sound like the engine is missing , with a considerable loss of power. It only happens while i am casually accelerating though!! (not boosting). Thought it might be PTU, as it was idleing really rough cleaned the conections and this seems to have mostly fixed that problem, but now this one has taken its place. Pod filter was cleaned not that long ago and have put new NKG irridium plugs in about 5000km ago. I am going to do a ECU diagnostic this weekend, but any thoughts/opinions on what this could be, would be appreciated.Cheers Jay
I'm no expert, but if one set of connectors was corroded, there is a good chance that others are also. The conzult should pin down your culprit but it's probably a good idea to go thru all the sensor connectors one by one. Doing a search shows that faulty connectors are a very likely source of these sorts of problems. Perhaps the online manual would help identify them all? You can buy some connector-cleaner from Repco (etc). Really good stuff!:YD
could be a coil pack if you can get a spare one go through and swap it with the others untill you find that you have solvedthe problem (if that is what it is)
