Hey Guys, Since i can't get in contact with simon from TTZ anymore i am hoping some one can help me.

I bought a 100K AT service kit from Simon about 1 year ago... We pulled it apart and changed the oil and went to put the new gasket on and WOW its the wrong size... i assumed it was going to be perfect since i had to give my VIN number and everyone, sure its justa minor mistake ??? but if some one could tell simon i would really love a new gasket that fits or if he can't get them, return the wrong gasket for a refund ???

The gasket he sent is perfectly square, the one i need has a small L shape at the top of one end.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated, asap thanks guys.

im pretty sure you dont change your head gasket for the 100k service

chances are the gasket does go somewhere but not where your thinking. good luck anyway.

    You are correct...>>

the gasket will not fit. I thought this was common knowledge but obviously I was mistaken

You will not find another gasket elsewhere - there simply isn't one. Solution, is to use a liquid gasket. After reassembly ensure you allow at least 2 hours for the gasket cement to dry before filling with new auto fluid. Also, don't use too much cement.

Nissan did not use a paper gasket on TT autos (well none found on any of the units I have serviced). I have done this many times and had no problems at all, except when I once rushed filling with new fluid and had to start all over due to a small leak.

    Cheers

    Jatco RE4R03A pan gasket

Is correct for a TT. $8 to $16 depending where you buy it. I wash the filter out with petrol & blow it out with air.

He's talking about a sump gasket for the auto transmission.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Bumped into Simon at Wallards the other day - chance meeting -

and he says he is very close to getting TTZed back online. His wife is taking over the ordering side of things, and they will be expanding the business to cater for other performance Nissans as well. Have patience, peoples.
