My car wiring has always been kinda stuffed, but last week i put in some new headlights as the old ones were on the way out.

Now whenever i turn on my lights only highbeams come on, no matter whether they are activated or not, now i know the headlights work fine as i tested them, any clues?

or should i just bite the bullet and drop the Z into an auto electrician?

    Cheers Guys:thumbsup:

Hey JayKay it sounds like a relay has welded its contacts closed

the next thing is to locate it and pull it apart and clean the points.
There are actually 3 relays that I know of in the black box (passengers side on front guard)
You need a little screwdriver to push on the tongue on their side in order to release them.

Then use a multimeter and check the relay coil and the switch position:) not hard as there is a circuit diagram on top of the relay with numbers which correlate to the pins underneath.

Have I lost you yet well if I have take it to an auto-electrician  but if you are a little handy you should be able to work it out from there.:) Drop us a line if you get stuck.

    regards John
