    Chrome...

    Spray it in chrome Josh.

I saw a Zed a couple of years back in an Autosalon and they had chromed the headlights. It looked awesome and almost like the 2000 spec Xenons.

I would do it myself but I kinda like the look of the original grey up against the black of the car.

    But chrome looks awesome.

    Cheers
    Rob.

Don't chrome them, they will spiderweb and crack. It looks good chromed, but when that happened, it looks crap up close, and also looks yellow. Happened to mine and blipmans.. took longer for blips to stuff up but they did eventually. They were also chromed at one of the top places in melbourne so it wasn't the electroplaters fault. I would say the type of plastic/heat that gets in there from the sunlight, NOT the bulbs.

Obviously there must be a process that works since Nissan would not use it on their 2000 spec Xenon headlights if it started cracking. Perhaps the plastic used in the 2000 spec models is different.

Actually, most show cars, winning show cars have their chrome done at this place. When you speak to any honest electroplaters, they will never guarantee plastic chrome. The plastic has to be ABS type plastic and I don't think that part of the headlight is the correct grade of plastic for chroming. Chrome plating on metal and plastic are very different things, I think you should do some more research before bagging the chrome. Xenons would use a different type of plastic even though it looks similar, it would be very different. It would be similar to the plastic used on all modern headlights, not old Z headlights.

If you chromed plastic, and hit it with a heat gun, I think you would find that even 300 degrees or less would discolour/damage it.

Is that because the reflectors are a low melt plastic or the lens & reflector shape is wrong
