Interested. I'm of the opinion it's a minor design flaw, leading to them being prone to leak with age.
You'd think they could get it right after doing t-tops since the early 80s, including cars like the EXA and NX...I suppose it if only bothers second or third owners they're not losing too many sales...

Yeah i did replace all rubbers and it different stopped any more leaking of water from the a pillar and as well as the targa. I pulled my targa tops apart completely and replace all the seals in there as well. Worth the effort i think.

Where exactly is water leaking from?

I replaced all the rubbers in my old car. Its a bit of an effort to do it properly but I had no leaks afterward. Its easy to just shove them in and that's when you have issues.

It leaks at either end of the targa where it meets the door window .

I look on CZP and only found the door jam rubber .

I have replaced one side with a used rubber but it hasnt really fixed it . Especially in heavy rain .

An old trick for old seals is to remove and put in a bath tub full of very hot water then let soak until the water cools. Bit of a job on a Zed though.

most people tend to stretch the rubbers as they fit them. Don't, its a disaster. Also don't just replace one rubber, waste of time. They are all screwed, they all need doing.

I replaced them on the 2+2. Still dripped a little after I had given it a wash/soaking, but never leaked in the rain.

I want to add that it pays to make sure the window is correctly adjusted, if not this can also lead to leaks. normally only an issue of the glass/door has been replaced.

How do you adjust that? My passenger window has been replaced (has that factory gold-ish tint) and could be a tiny smidgen closer to the rubber...

there are stoppers at the top of the door that contact with the round plastic pieces on the front and rear of the window itself these adjust the height and finsihing angle front to back of the window. be aware that if you go too high it can cause issues with the rubber on the mirror, it has a little top edge you will break through if you push the window up too high. the runners them selves have adjustment (see below) at the top of the door, Crack the lock nut and use a flat blade screwdriver to adjust the runner in or out then retighten the lock nut this adjust the top edge of the window in and out relative to the targa edge
