    A good flowing exhaust system

with cats, does not have much power loss over the same system without cats. I think Zisluv with a twin 2.5" exhuast system gained 6hp at the wheels after removing the entire exhaust after the dumps or something. (so cats included). He can probably provide more info.

Some people have claimed a big difference in the way it feels to drive (not sure of torque increases on doing it though), but for a road car, I dont think its worth doing, and although I have never heard of anyone getting busted for driving with no cats on, the fines are meant to be huge.

Also think about your own health, sitting at the traffic lights with toxic fumes surrounding your car and breathing it in.... maybe you can get high on it and thats why the car feels much more quicker ;) :p

You really don't want to do it...

    Makes us all look irresponsible.

Also big $$ fines if the EPA catch you out.

If anyone had, it would be pretty dumb to say so here

Nathan (Zisluv) has cats on his car. To the best of my knowledge everyone here on aus300zx does.

    Except me! But thats fine

cause the cars not regerested, and i dont drive it anywhere, except in and out off my sheed.
one thing i can say though, is the note sounds
very nice with no cats. The system is full stainless
dumps test pipes borla cat back, Its also LOUD,
to loud in fact, im hopeing some high flow cats
may quiten it down a little, the trade is a slight
    drop in HP.

    Re-read what I wrote

I see how it sounded wrong and could of made it look like he drives around with no exhaust and cats! Anyway here is the post I was thinking of.

I removed my neighbors cats once.

After several abortive attempts using the point of my shoe, I settled for a waterpistol filled with turps. Jeezuz those cats can accellerate like greased lightning, once they get a squirt of turps on the "nether region". It's kind of like NOS for cats.:LOL::LOL:
