    This dumbass!

yeah I blame the turbo timer.

recently got a new alarm put it, and its got a turbo timer. So when I get out of the car, the engine is still on, and I don't hear any warning beeps to remind me to turn off my lights.

In my old car I was uber paranoid, and would check the light switch instinctively. But with the Zed, I mainly drive it on sunny days. I hardly touch it when its cold, wet or dark.

And I used to get this annoying whine when the lights were on. A few months back while browsing the forums, I found out it was due to a dead inverter for the light up rear center panel.

So because I've fixed 2 things with my car, Alarm/turbo timer + whining noise, I've increased my chances of leaving my lights on.

All's well now, I got it jumped started eventually... The tough part was turning off 2 immobilisers. My alarm wasn't happy when it lost power. Damn thing wouldn't shut up! at first it was some crazy chirping, once we connected the leads it started going off at full volume.

Oh well... lesson learned. Gonna have to look up tech articles to idiot proof the headlights, or I'll just have to get back into paranoid habits.

How long do parkers take to drain the battery? Maybe I'll get my foggies/parkers put back in... and drive with parkers on during the day.

There is mod u can do which makes the headlight chime work with a turbo timer.

Basically whenever u have lights on and u open the door the chime will go off.
The way the factory system works is the chime only goes off if u open the door and the car is off.

If you check the tech section you should be able to find it. From memory all you have to do is cut a wire in the drivers side footwell (check the tech guide for the right wire).

    Don't beat yourself up

....everyone has done something like that.

In my car, if you don't close the hatch firmly, it doesn't lock and the little light in the boot stays on. My Zed is not my daily driver, so it can stay in the shed for days at a time. I have flattened my battery a few times because of that little light.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I'll definitely check out the tech section

I also get the problem with the hatch. I'm pretty sure the alarm would bug me about it being open though. I was thinking of changing the boot light and the interior light to LED's that way they shouldn't drain the battery.
