I just notice that my car is making light grinding noise from somewhere in the center of the car when it stop on the traffic light, but if i shift the transmission to "N", the grinding noise is stop. it also make grinding noise when moving very slow. could it be the gearbox? the gearbox actually replaced on 2004 by the previous owner, so it's relatively not that old (it was around 185k when he changed it, and now is 230k). any though, please?
Just a quick thought. But try changing the gearbox oil. Mine was making alot of whiring/grinding noises, change the oil last night and it's all sweet now. Might not be that, but that would be my first port of call.
