The other day I noticed my front left wheel is making a grinding sound (fairly high pitched when driving, when spun by a hand lower like a normal grinding sound) Jacked it up yesterday, the wheel isnt rubbing against anything, what else could be causing this? theres also resistance but not so much the wheel cant be turned by hand or that it slows the car down at all while driving. Also the grinding sound seems to get louder at one part of the wheels spin and once im going faster than 70kph or so either isn't noticeable over exhaust noise or isnt there anymore, hard to tell which.
Are your rotors scored at all? Like rough? If so, brake pads could be totally shot and metal on metal. Check brake pads. Failing that, wheel bearings :/
And don't forget that inner and outer pads will wear at different rates, so check both sides of the rotor.
yeah think this is the case no damage to the rotor but checked and it seems theres no pad left, and there seems to be more shit than usual on the wheel (dust etc) even though i wiped it yesterday. What sort of brake pad does the Z need on the front? Also that rotor has rust on it even though the one on the other side doesn't :/
