Picked up my copy this morning (had to be reserved)...and for me it has really been worth the wait. Only had a little bit of time to play it today, but the graphics are a level up and as Franz mentioned the Nurburgring is one challenging circuit (especially in a '05 M5 - in true Tiff Needell "Traction and stability control off" mode). An interesting thing is the new director mode where you sit and watch somebody else drive your car whilst you tell them the level of "aggressiveness" to drive at whilst you make choices for tire changes and fuel ups at pits. Will pick up a new memory card later today to begin my campaign. J.
This is the game you want As someone who is a sim racing nut, I have ordered this one in from Germany and found patches to convert it to English. You canb do a full 24 hour, or dawn and dusk races. The sound is the best you'll see in a racing game and the car handling physics are second to none. Its based on the FIA GT series and has all the exotic cars you could want!! Check out the demo's and movies and you'll see what I mean. Its for PC only though, but the best games really are for PC anyway GTR
Yes! but.... I failed to mention that it is the Japanese version only. It was the JDM release today. I have found a place that has taken on stock of heaps of copies if you are really keen (and have the supporting hardware). Otherwise, you'll just have to wait till the Australian release which is apparently February/March? J.
Whats it go for? I think its about time I install a mod chip in my PSX. Is all the text in it in Japanese or English?
Dunno but pls don't buy it from BigW = If you don't like the game or want to exchange it, you cannot ... My kids and I buy all their games from Electronic Boutique who offer a seven day trial period and price matching. If you don't like it you can return/exchange it for any reason as long as it isn't damaged... PS: I don't have shares in EB, I just hate the F*** out of BigW for a recent incident.
Japanese.... even down to the car manufacturer names... It is going for about 7000 yen which is about AU$85. J.
