Wats ronga wid goodna ya poof! Yu n ur fanci japanesee crap.

But yes in all seriousness thats about as low as it can get. What did he hit the glass with. Zeds concave windows are pretty hard at the best of times. Would have got out and became real goodna bogan and hit him with a clublock.

Pretty poor effort from the police too. Did they at least take your statement? Vehicle details from the other car, etc? Not like you're bs'ing them.

i had nice solid mattock handle painted black for these types of things, its a great body guard. sure you'd get an ass kicking from the cops if they saw it but they're never around to fight real crimes when you need them. bet they would've been there to bust you if ya chirped second or something.

insured? contact your insurance agency and inquire as to whether or not your are liable to pay an excess. Make it known that you have the culprits license plate number and that you have contacted the police, irrelevant of how unhelpful they were. Might pay to get the name of the officer you initially delt with for their records.

It Was very quick just coped a face full of glass I didn't realize what had happened used his fist big Samoan guy , jumped in his car and took off I did get his rego and was amazed about 6 peopje got out to see if i was ok and all were happy to talk to police but like they said he said she said crap , I was following my brother when it happened which was in a industrial estate the guy was wearing hi vis so guessing he works around there somewhere brother is keeping a eye out for the jeep I really don't think there will be much left of the guys jeep I don't care about the window but it's not ok to act like that so no wonder why people take things Into their own hands when the cops r too lazy to do anything about it

Go back to the cop shop and ask to speak to the officer in charge. It's just not good enough. You where assaulted not to mention the criminal damage and a few other traffic charges they could add. Even if you didn't get the rego someone following may have seen what happened and written it down or even reported it. Drive down the same road on the same day at the same time as people tend to be creatures of habbit. Take a different car and who knows what you might achieve.

...of course - had you not been born here or not been caucasian - you'd be on every front page news paper & the TV stations would be throwing money at you for your story. Gillard would be on the phone offering the nation's sympathy assuring you that you're more than welcome..............

That sucks, I had a mate nearly get carjacked at a set of lights at a busy intersection in broad day light under similar circumstances. No police reprisal as per usual.

There is one very efficient weapon to defend against this that won't get you into much trouble. Buy the hottest chilipeppers you can find, get a pot of water, add a bit of lemon juice for the citric acid. Shred the peppers into the pot, make sure you break open the seeds as well. Stir it and set it to boil, leave it boiling until you're basically left with chili concentrate and citric acid. Strain it to get rid of any solid chunks, add it to a spray bottle and leave it in the car. Been on the receiving end of a home made test, one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life.

You have the rego, you can visually identify him and he damaged your car causing you injury - how is that "he said, she said?" Sounds like laziness from the cops, I'd be back in there demanding to talk to whoever's the highest-ranked officer at the station, they need to be hauled in for an interview.

Not surprised about the police reaction. In my first car I've had some road raging bogan in a ute side swipe me. Police were not helpful at all and they tend to be patronising like you're somehow wasting their time. Absolutely useless... When it comes to things like that since it's your word vs his, unless it can be proven by a witness you just get treated like a nuisance.

Keep something like this on ya: link

Totally inconspicuous, just don't forget and try to light your cigarette with it.

Seems the cops dont want to do any work that doesnt require pulling people over and taking your money and license.

similar police situation down here. A family friend of ours whose only bout 5 foot 6 or so got totally beat the crap outta him by a guy bout 6 foot 8 (a real thug, kinda person who sends his goons around to your house to rough you up) in a pub and had to go to hospital, eye was messed up real bad and thankfully no internal damage was done. went to the police the next day to file for assault.
police tried calling the culprits house a few time but didnt get an answer. Took them two weeks to press charges and that was bout 6 months ago and since then he has left the country twice to go on holiday and hasnt gone to court yet

Just shows how little the police give a f**k, although not all are like that, sometimes people need to take the law into their own hands.

You have the right to claim Victim's compensation in relation to being attacked in a public place, suffering physical damage, as well as property damage.
Plead the case "you are now nervous to go out driving", as well as the expense to replace the window.

My kid was king hit in a pub while having a farewell drink with his mate.
(one of those glass eating morons that picks on some one cause he can)
He got a broken tooth. Reported it to the police. First officer fobbed it off. Reported it a second time the following day and got action.
Based on "he doesn't go to pubs now due to this incident", and the several visits to the dentist to repair the tooth he is in line for $35K compensation.
