Unreal value IMO, couldnt pass it up. That new 3 company with the video talk and the crazy ads on TV.
I got the NEC phone that you see on the ads. Its a bit bulkier than Im used to but should still fit in my pocket easy enough. Got to wait for Friday till it comes in though before I can pick it up.
They have this deal where if you and a friend sign up you get 50% off. So I took my g/f in and bought her one also. The plans are hell cheap. For $16/month (thats at 50%) you get $32 worth of free calls including video calls. You get the first 10 minutes of voice calls free to any other 3 phone (i.e. between me and my g/f which must be a majority of my calls) and thats any time of the day. Other than that calls are only 15c per 30sec plus 25c flagfall. Way cheaper than any other plans. Normal video calls are 50c per 30s with 25c flagfall. I think till December you get a lot of free downloads, plus email and stuff all for free also.
Dont mean to sound like an ad, but I thought this was awesome value, want to make sure all you guys know about it. If the phone is old in 12months, dont worry, they give you a $300 credit to get a new one. That more than pays to cancel whats left of the contract!
    Love it.

    When you consider..

it was not that long ago(11-12 years maybe)when i got my first phone and that had about as many features as a lada niva and a similar size mind you.....i had to pay $700 to buy it and some stupid amount per month to keep it plugged in so this current deal isnt too bad really in perspective.

Before you guys rush to get a 3 Phone :N( >>

you have to remember that video calls can only be made in certain areas covered by three for video calls, second thing you have to remember is how good do you think video call gonna be when you have hardly any reception.

p.s. i bought a nokia 7250 i wrecked it in under 4 days (HINT: dont use logomanager on the phone) hehehehehe i still cant believe i killed it, i was starting to like it as well ohh well i have to wait for nokia to give me my new phone now

:p nah never had one never want one >>

techno phobe yet I work in Info Tech so go figure. :D One of my uni projects was measuring radiation from mobile and satellite phones and that pretty much turned me off from them. We had some pretty funky semi-projects in our course and the one I remember the most is the one where we got to design, build and test a device to measure the respiratory volume of a normal guinea pig and a smoking guinea pig to determine the effects of smoking on pregnant mothers and their new borns in relation to SIDS.
