and just another thing i know this is not the reason for it , but ill say that Ive had mine on there for 11 years now ( different ones ) and haven't really had any problems with them , maybe one person told me that there not ADR approved ( my ones on the car ) so ether way ill put them on and see how i go ( the yellow tag may confuse people ) into thinking they are. + I'm sure there not a bad quality , well when i put them through the test ill let you guys know how i go ( just to be safe) ..............................................

    The facts

badxtc They are not ADR approved and in one sense not a bigy as lots of things are not. However when it comes to brakes it is more of a strong point and small chance but potential big problem if someone is injured in an accident. Also technically could be a problem for registration. Main thing is they are NOT the same as ours, and it is a false statement about them being ADR approved or ADR compliant. Features wise they also do not have the anti whip collar which is required by ADR. Rob260 as explained the requirements and these do not comply with ADR, and not bought through Australian distributor unlike ours.

I am only mentioning this as it was said on this thread same as UAS ones. There are numerous products I see advertised for sale or GB's or business for sale I know are not good products in quality and or function and false statements made but say nothing as some think I am just rubbishing product and bling sells. If we are mentioned as here or if someone asks me then different and happy to explain. I am more into function and solid products.

    to all the group buyers

Guys, its been suggested that the brake lines are not ADR approaved, and while I was assured that they were of good quality, with a life time guarentee, and that they met the necessary Australian standards. I appreciate that buyers may have wanted definate ADR approaval.

Therefore, If you want a refund, please dont open the packet and I can arrange this if you contact me.

In the mean time, I am going to contact the supplier again and get the specifactions and try to ,take them to "the pits" for the guys opinion there if they can help...

Appologies if any incovenience was caused, as I, like you guys was acting in good faith...

    Cheers
    AK

Good job AK, you've really gone all out for the people in this GB, despite some wrong advice by others given above regarding the ADR approval of these lines.

I have these same lines from elsewhere and I was pretty sure they were ADR approved but it's good to see confirmation.

Again Rob, where is the ADR that states this, I can't find it...

Sorry for leading people to believe that these lines are the same as yours, easy to make the mistake since they come in the same pack from the same company...

Until you can show me the legislation that these are not ADR compliant it is your statement that is false...

For some reason, these are different to the ones Rob260 sent me, but as long as the boys at the pits say they're ok. I'd get something signed by them AK, and get it posted up here if you want to cover yourself. That'll pretty much finish the debate too ;)

Here's the ones I have, you can see the anti-whip colors but the rest yours look the same, plastic coated, have the date marked (should be on the yellow tag) etc.

Very good John, I have already referenced that ADR...

    This is what it states...

It says it must meet a standard and must be installed correctly, that is all. No reference to anti whip collars.

I bet my left nut that AK's lines comply with this:

Not trying to get into a shit fight, just making it clear what consitutes as compliant with the ADR's and for those products to be seen as such.
