It's a sad sight, but off to the bodyshop she goes for two weeks for a full respray nursing a blown passenger side bank headgasket. Dont worry girl, I'll have you all fixed up in no time when you are back from getting your hair did! lol A free $5,000 repspray and when I get her back I can do my fuel system and turbo at the same time. An easy 300rwkw by christmas is my goal... At the moment I'm driving around a brand new 2008 Ford Falcon XT with 2,000kms on the clock beacause my 88t is unregistered and I dont have the cash to do it right now and the rental is free covered by insurance aswell. I have to say though new cars are so shit. I feel like im driving a sterile transportation device with no soul instead of a car! lol It's a weak ass 195kw and automatic, oh god I forgot how shit automatics are. The peddle is spongy as hell, half of the peddle travel doesnt even do anything and then when you stamp it down you get a kick up the ass! lol I also has "faggot mode" I like to call it where you can make it shift like a total pussy, sports mode is average. The brakes are excellent but the throttle response from flooring it is pathetic, and the gear knob feels like a joystick from a 1980s amiga computer. I miss my car already and it's only been an hour! lol

That's it. She has 255,000kms on the clock remember and it's had a very hard life before I got my hands on it. It wasn't a catastrophic failure at wide open throttle, 18psi @ 200kmph or anything like that. It just went, off boost under 60kmph. It's just one of those things. It just hyrodlocked on me and stalled out. I'm not too upset about it, this car has been very good to me. In the 2 years I have owned it I have driven it every single day to and from work and at wot pretty much everywhere I go. It's a blessing in disguise almost, I havent been able to work on it as much as I would like to having it as my daily. I have alot of goodies to go on it... It's alright girl, I'm not mad at you!

Ah ha! Well it sucks! It's the worst shit ever! You can literally sit there pumping the gas peddle half way (I'm not exaggerating either) and it doesnt even do anything! It's retarded, why anyone would what a car to be controlled this way is beyond me. Headgasket explained above. As for the body damage, I hit a long ass length of cable on the highway at 100km, a company left it on the road and it got stuck on the front of my car for a bit and tore my paint all to shit front to back whipping the crap out of the side of my car and broke my bumper and dented my door and alot of other stuff. Luckily on the way back I saw the company picking it up and went to chew someones ear out, their insurance company has been fantastic though. Better than the muppets at my own insurance company even...
Yeah it's really bad up close, it's down to the metal in some areas. The cable damn near killed me, there was traffic on the inside and a big mofo ditch on the right so I had no where to go. Made a god awful sound when it first hit my car, I was a second away from locking the brakes up before I finally managed to shake it free. I'm not talking about a small bit of cable either, it was a big f*ck off roll of the stuff laying across the entire road. The car in front of me kicked it up and the rest is history... They were scared I was gonna sue their ass more than anything, painting my car is the least they can do! It had the potential to be a 20 car pile up! lol

Dude that cable did your turbo in; it ripped the V pipe from the actuator causing a massive spike and blew your head gasket, worth a shot! And btw I have one off those fords, auto to, mine changes to first at 80k, because the tps keeps Fkn up, and has a 5 second delay when you shift to reverse built into the ecu on purpose, what happens is you shift to R, put your foot down a little, nothing happens, then it engages and you smash into whatever?s behind you. Oh yeah the coil packs fail regularly and I have had the front rotors replaced twice, and they still shake your teeth out, these things are a POS.
Camerons Bodyworks, very impressed thus far and it's really nice to see his Skyline sitting there with a sick as paint job even in a colour I hate (green) it really shows his talent as a painter. I always pick things to shit, it's in my nature. It's not a BAD car at all, the new FPV XR6 would kick ass and take names I'm sure. There are a few little annoyances though, like... - What's with the ignition barrell light coming on even in the day time? Cmon guys! Even my poor old Z is smart enough to realize you only need that at NIGHT! lol - The indicator/windscreen wiper stalk looks like a set of motorbike handles, ugly. - Throttle, dont even get me started on this thing. Put the cable back damnit, if it aint broke dont fix it. - Puffy brake pedal, I hate brake pedals with those air return valves or whatever the hell it is. It sounds like you're stepping on a flat soccer ball when you hit the brakes! - The aircon spins for a second or two after you shut off the iginition and it's loud, annoying. - The tach and speedo are on the opposite side to the Z, put it back the other way I keep looking at the wrong one! haha - The "not in park" warning chime every single time you turn the car off. Omg F.O! lol I'll leave it in drive if i want to tosser! haha So you've gotta put it in park first anytime you turn it off otherwise you'll forever get that warning, RE-TARD-ED! Automatics are crap, there's no denying that, but even the rebuilt automatic in my 88t is more responsive and decisive than this thing. I really hate the dead pedal feel aswell for about 50% of the travel, and after driving on the highway for 50km without using cruise control it feels like you've ran up 20 flights of stairs with one leg! lol The insanely light peddle pressure required to maintain 110kmph is ridiculous, you cant relax your leg unless you want to do 150kmph. Cruise control is a MUST with these cars on the highway. What I dont get is howcome I can pump the gas peddle and have the revs not even move! How did they let it leave the factory like this? lol Haha. I'm sure I'll find more things that annoy me the more I drive it. The stereo is excellent though for a factory system, the brakes are brilliant. The car is quite fast for what it is, it still feels like a tank though compared to the Z. The most bizarre thing I've found is driving a car without tinted windows, I feel naked! haha It's really easy to speed to becase you have to absolutely bury the pedal for it to pickup. It has to think about it for a second aswell, and you can hear it change its mind as to what gear it wants too often aswell. I wish I had a manual to compare, I'm sure it would be 10x better even with the sucky drive by wire thing.
