Hi all so I have to go over the pits, before I go any further this is for guide purposes only and I realise that different locations and inspectors will be observe regulations differently, so what I am after is info as to more what is a definate no way.

First off I know I can not have adjustable coil overs, I do however need to lift my cars ride height, I have some plans on that including going from my 16's to 17s and tucking up the exhaust as much as possible ( chassis is at 97mm's from ground exhaust is 85) any other suggestions

Tension rods what is technically legit guys - I believe pillowjoint etc are not allowed is this correct? mine are currently leaking the gel and perished.

Hicas - my inner rod ends have a small amount of play (and Hicas does not work full stop -light is on but I cant find the reason and the oil is at a good level) is a lockout bar acceptable (with the globe removed) - my original intention before the defect or do I need to replace the rod ends deal with the globe - cant see them ever seeing the hicas itself is not working.

Aircon - been deleted since before I got the car and is completely gone should this be an issue.

FMIC and pod filter assuming I can get a REO sorted are the 2 mods a potential issue?

staggered rims - I am pretty sure I am stuff with those but I was not looking at putting my 18's on anyway for this.

Is there anything else I should keep an eye out for.

yeah I know I need a reo bar will get that sorted, was thinking of completely removing the fmic and putting a couple of pipes to fit the reo in for the period of the inspection.

I doubt changing from 16" rims to 17" is going to make much difference.
Clean, polish & detail the vehicle so it looks as though it has been very well maintained.
You want it to look as stock as possible.

one of the intentions is a full respray before it goes over - helps being in the business - but I also intend for all the work I was going to do over time to be completed (a lot will have to be anyway for it to pass) so its not happening in the next month or so but hopefully by the end of the year. If I ask the minister of finance very nicely I am hoping for new turbos too....... hoping. as for 16 -17s I need only a small increase to get over the 100mm but I intend to make it at 110 so is I can get a few from new larger diameter tyres I will take it but I am not relying on that to get me over. I have another plan.

Ive put 2 cars over the pits without reo bars. Didnt know they were a requirement. Had some issues with the car too that the inspector said, 'youre an enthusiast they will be easy things to fix'. But another one fail because one of the pedals had a tare on the rubber pedal cover. Its hit and miss.

Some are more picky than others. I met someone recently that needed to reinstall the exhaust gas recirc stuff back on. What a useless time wasting pain that would be.
