dunno if you guys have heard of this thing before.. been fetured in a few mags..

basically its a shift light that connects into your factory tacho and transforms the factory tach into a recall tach aswell..

no big monsta tachs needed anymore.. woohoo..

main reason i'm buying it, is for its friends the launch control interface. see vendors website or google this thing for all the answers

unless your a memeber for ausrotary you cant see theyre GB page so heres a cut n paste..

i'm aiming for 10 zedders to join.. contact is me

dont contact him, contact me.. haha

ok.. Tach recall shift light : $240 delivered ($15 less for perth pickup)
Launch control interface : $170 if purchased with shift light (you need a shift light for the launch control to work)

launch control works by limiting your RPM by rotating through coilpacks shutting em off to hold your clutch down max RPM to whatever you set it to (get some cool flames too)

    nobody wants launch control?

also means you can keep your foot flat to the floor on the loud pedal when changing gears as it limits your max rpm to whatever you want with clutch depressed

    how does that work????

that would wreck your clutch and your gearbox in no time by changing gears without taking your foot off the accelerator...

    Re: how does that work????

haha.. the launch control limits your RPM to say 3500rpm whenever your foot is on the clutch, so it doesnt only have to be used for take offs

Does that mean when your "heel toeing" it will remain at say 3500?

I know i have had it up around 5000 when heel toeing to have power to the ground... Just a Q???

    Same question here

My mate had one of these hooked up before extreme Z. I think it does. He could manually change the level of rpm and what ever he set it at foot to the floor it would remain at rpm level till clutch release and all hell broke loose

i like the idea of having a shift light. But not if it controls my car..

    I Still need more convincing.

Re: i like the idea of having a shift light. But not if it controls my car.

the shift light doesnt control the car if you dont want it to.. the shift light has all the microporocessor gear to feed info to the launch control module

all the shift light does is interface with the factory tach to make it a recall tacho (like the expensive after market monstas) without needing to mount a stoopid monster tach

if you dont want the launch control.. dont buy the launch control module (thats extra)

so if you dont have the launch control module then you will only have a 2 stage programmable shift light and a recall tach (watch your factory tacho replay your race type shit that you will never use.. lol)

the main reason i want this shift light is for the launch control

yes technically heel and toe would not let you rev up to 5000 if your launch control was not set that high.. i'm just gunna have a lil switch inline/parrallel (depending on wht the controller uses) with the clutch pedal switch to turn it on and off easily
