Say you got a fair few defects. Might be a silly question, but I was wondering how do you go about getting de defected? I guess you can take them off and put stock ones on if you have them, but what if you dont? Are places like compliance workshops able to do this (do they have the stock parts generally for this purpose?) just for the engineer to tick off and then put them back on? Any of these places in Adelaide? I am just stressed about my ID inspection next week. Cheers guys.

    Engineer report

Put it this way. I have my car as is with all the modifications go over the pits and pass. In fact, Now that I have the report, if I were to put the stock aluminum bonnet back on, I would be defected for it because my report says 'carbon fibre/fibreglass bonnet'!

A lot of the mods we get on the cars, can be engineered. However those reports cost money! :)

    Not just money

I found a lot of the engineers up here in QLD were running scared of Queensland transport. They were all willing to certify anything, but as soon as I said it is a non standard vehicle part, they ran home scared to mama.
In the end (regarding my bonnet), I had to take my chances, and QLD transport did it themsleves, and passed it straight away.
