gearbox rebuild kits

    I always thought there was an actual gearbox rebuild kit for the manual box, and it cost 160 from coz. But I havent been able to find it.

    Is there a kit with whatever gaskets and syncros you need? Or do we just buy the syncros separately now?

    What does anyone else use when rebuilding a box?

    Synchros are more like $160 EACH.

    Take it to a gearbox shop they will quote you for rebuild.

    No way. Coz sell them from $60ea to about $30ea depending in what gear

    List price from Nissan is between $140-$160AUD.

    Coz price in USD plus freight, might be the same might be less. In any case you're not getting synchros, baulk rings and gaskets for $160.

    A full rebuild kit from the US is going to be more like $600-800.

    yep, figure 800 to a grand to rebuild it.

    160 probably buys u 2 bearings

    That sounds about right then..

    no idea what I remember seeing then. But if I get someone else to do it I was expecting around the 1500 mark.
