Are you going to do these as a kit with gaskets and braided lines as well?

    ie. - like COZ?

If those prices are for the full kits, ei: ready to bolt on including waste gates oil lines and water pipes, gaskets and the like... Not bad.

If not, then those prices are by no means "exeptional"...
    No offence.

These are stock Garrett turbos, available to any and all applications, not speced to any particular car.
    These are not kits.
They can be ordered with various housing sizes of course as per the Garrett Australia site.

    Garrett 300ZX GT2560R (GT28R) Ball Bearing Turbo Kit (600HP) FULL KIT,BOLT ON
    $2,095 USD Not including Shipping

Garrett 300ZX GT2860R (Disco Potato) Ball Bearing Turbo FULL KIT, BOLT ON
    $2,495.00 USD Not inc shipping

Garrett 300ZX GT2871R Ball Bearing Turbo Kit (750HP) .64 A/R FULL KIT, BOLT ON

    $2,695.00 USD no shipping

They are standard prices, no specials atm, a group buy would see better prices.
Granted our dollar is crap house now, and its not including shipping, but even then, still works out better considering they are clocked and include everything you need to bolt them straight up.
Hate to burst your bubble, the last thing i want to do is cut your lunch (after all, i have no affiliation), but i think you should be able to get better prices from Garrett if you show them these numbers...

Why dont you run a GB with z1 or COZ on here? Im sure youd get even better prices still....? Maybe wait for the dollar to get back up there though.

Hang on a minute, are you quoting COZ prices there? and not including shipping?
the prices listed at the beginning of this add are in aus already with shipping included and the wait is max 7 days if you are in WA. So there are a couple of advantages...

Not a direct bolt-up kit though.

    Clearly, not including shipping.
However, they are not specced to our cars. Do not include anything except for the turbos themselves. They are not clocked. All of this makes a big difference.

    The 2860 Kit includes:

2x New Garrett Modified GT2860R (Disco Potato) Turbochargers
2x Braided SS Oil feed lines
    1x Complete Gasket Kit
2x Modified L+R Return Tubes, adapters and Bolts
2x Outlet Pipes w/ New 5-Ply Silicone Hoses and T-bolt Clamps.

    2x 12-15 PSI Actuators (24-30 PSI Total)

    Makes a big difference.

    true but...
2495 USD = 2 959.66AUD at the moment and then freight on turbos will come it at somwhere around the $100USD mark being conservitive so add another 118 AUD to = 3077.66AUD.
Now Coz Im sure will write the value down to avoid duty and GST but if they scan the package and someone has a clue at customs then you may also get stung the gst and duty so you and add 10% and 5% to that as well.
even working on avoiding those costs, buying local leaves you with 521.66 to spend clocking and getting the correct kit etc.
not to mention the time difference to delivery and the fact that you would be supporting local business and the fact that you would have local back up, service and advice etc etc.

    Read my post.
Granted the dollar is crap now, and thats why i havent bought mine. When the dollar was up $.93/.94... different story. And even now, all you need to do is ask, for a discount that is. The time it takes getting these turbos clocked and specced up to vg30 needs, sourcing lines and pipes, wastegates, and taking into account what our "local business" charges on products, your still better off with the USD.
    Thats my opinion anyway.
You want these? Go ahead and buy them man....

Turbo's aren't making 24-30psi out of the box. 12-15psi actuators are the minimum pressure required for wastegates to open.
Your car will only make 12psi at the intake manifold, unless you boost it to 24psi.

I appreciate the cost difference and of course making the turbos work will certainly cost more than $500. I wont be needing them as I have 71's already, just advocating for local business as I think its important to support where possible.

I agree that dealing globally has its advantages but in my experiance and unless local businesses are taking you for a ride, there is some value in having local back up and support.

I agree with you man, however if the local dealers can't compete with international businesses, unfortunately my money will be going elsewhere.
